About Advanced Brain & Spine
At Advanced Brain & Spine, we believe exceptional care begins with a complete, unbroken picture of your recovery. Practice founder Dr. K. Rizvie Saldin established our Tampa practice to solve a common medical frustration: scattered care, hand-offs, and conflicting advice. Here, a single physician reads your imaging, diagnoses your injury, and manages your treatment plan from day one through long-term recovery.

About the Founder
Meet Dr. K. Rizvie Saldin
Dr. K. Rizvie Saldin is a Duke-trained, board-certified neurologist and the only specialist in Florida with dual board certification in Neurology and Pain Medicine, plus additional fellowship training in Neuroimaging. One physician reads your imaging, makes the diagnosis, and directs treatment — no hand-offs, no guesswork.
That integrated model is the foundation of Advanced Brain and Spine in Tampa. Dr. Saldin built the practice around a combination of expertise that is rare in a single physician — neurology, pain medicine, and neuroimaging working together — so patients dealing with a brain or spine injury receive continuity of care from the first scan through the full course of recovery.

Training and background
Dr. Saldin completed his residency at Duke University, where he served as Chief Resident during his final year of training. He has trained and practiced at some of the most respected institutions in American medicine, including the Cleveland Clinic, MD Anderson Cancer Center, the University of Virginia, and Baylor College of Medicine. He earned his medical degree in Hungary, at a school with a remarkable scientific legacy: two Nobel Prize winners are tied to it, the scientist who discovered Vitamin C and, more recently, a researcher behind the mRNA technology that reshaped modern vaccines. That grounding shaped his approach to medicine — rigorous, evidence-based, and rooted in the science.
About the Practice
A Rare Combination of Expertise
Dr. Saldin is board certified in both Neurology and Pain Medicine, with additional fellowship-level training in Neuroimaging (board-eligible). That combination is what allows a single physician to carry a case from imaging to diagnosis to treatment. Because of his neuroimaging background, Dr. Saldin personally reviews the MRI films of every patient rather than relying on a radiology report alone. When a brain or spine injury is involved, those details matter, and he examines them directly.
He is also a certified life care planner. For patients who have suffered a serious injury, that means Dr. Saldin can look beyond current symptoms to map out the future care they are likely to need — a distinction that carries real weight for those navigating long-term recovery and the practical realities of a significant injury.
Dr. Saldin holds active medical licenses in Florida, Texas, and California, and has served as Medical Director both at Advanced Brain and Spine and in a prior leadership role earlier in his career.
Deep Experience with Brain and Spine Injuries
Caring for injured patients has been the focus of Dr. Saldin's career. He has been evaluating and treating traumatic brain injury (TBI) for more than 12 years, and orthopedic and spinal injuries for more than 14 years. This is the core of his practice, and it informs every evaluation and treatment plan he develops for patients at the Tampa office. His clinical work is backed by research as well — Dr. Saldin has published in the field of neurology and brings that same evidence-based mindset to the exam room.
More Than a Decade of Telemedicine
Dr. Saldin was practicing telemedicine long before it became common. During his years with Neurocall, he covered more than 40 hospitals across the country, providing emergency neurological care by telemedicine to patients who needed a neurologist immediately, wherever they were. With more than 10 years of telemedicine experience, he is equipped to deliver fast, focused neurological expertise in whatever format best serves the patient.
